This a Accessory Dwelling Unit I built behind a clients home in the Highlands Neighborhood of Denver. It is 700 sq feet with two stories. Because the home was located in the A.M. Ghost Historic District in Denver we had to meet certain standards regarding the exterior appearance to match the neighborhood. The exterior is brick veneer with stone ledges on the windows and doors. The entry door are mahogany and very detailed. On the interior we have two bedrooms upstairs with a full bathroom and downstairs we have a large living area with kitchen and one half bathroom. The floors are manufactured wood.
The floating steel stair case is accented by 4" poplar wood stair treads. The clients picked all of the tile and cabinets and fixtures to match their own vision of what the space would be when completed. They added a mountain feel to the unit with some personal decorations and touches. This tiny home will bring in a monthly rental income of over $4000.00 and it cost $150,000.00 to build.
